Mystical Capitalism’s maintenance requires the shaping of raw energy into usable forms, the most useful of which is the second order pentagram. Composed of an inverted (or eastern) five-pointed star inside of a larger pentagon, the second order pentagram is also the symbol of Mystical Capitalism. As any regular five-pointed star contains a regular pentagon at its center, the second order pentagram is innately self-replicating.
For the last half-century or so, the favored means of shaping raw energy is through mass entertainment, either musical or athletic. Emotionally charged crowds generate a surplus of ecstatic energy that can be harvested to maintain the control structures required by Mystical Capitalism. Popular touring bands have been instrumental in this process.
The MC5 are particularly tied to the phenomenon of second order pentagram formation, as published sources (The Illuminatus! Trilogy) indicate they functioned directly as a public front for the Illuminati. With five members, a name that directly references Mystical Capitalism, and hailing from a city associated with both Chrysler (home of the pentagonal logo) and Fordism (key to American Industrial Capitalism in the early 20th Century), they provide an exceptional example of how ecstatic energy is shaped into second order pentagrams for the benefit of Mystical Capitalism.
